In brief
“Matthijs can make difficult things simple”, a former colleague once said. That is also what I prefer to do: translate complex social issues into understandable and feasible solutions. As a policy economist with a lot of political/administrative experience, I work on consultancy projects in all kinds of sectors.
I am cheerful, curious and have a fluent pen. I function well under pressure and get to the point quickly by distinguishing main and minor issues. My commitment is always to bring people and parties together, even when positions differ, the situation changes or interests clash.
