Senior Consultant/Manager Infrastructure and Transport

Rebel UK

About Rebel in the UK

Rebel is a young and fast-growing company that focuses on financial-economic, strategic and operational issues. We are 250+ people in total with a Head Office in Rotterdam (the Netherlands), a major office in Antwerp (Belgium), and a lot of smaller offices around the world.

Rebel is organised into a number of separate teams. Our team is ‘Infrastructure Assets & Operations’ and we focus particularly on strategy consultancy in rail, roads, and other infrastructure sectors like water.

We believe that what sets us apart is the combination of both technical and regulatory / policy skills. And our team has significant real-world expertise within the sectors we deal with. We are focused on adding value to our clients by addressing strategy questions that need to work from both a technical and regulatory / policy perspective. Given the scope of industry change, the challenges on Government policy, and the need to provide vital infrastructure in an efficient way – then there are plenty of interesting topics out there for us.

We are driven by issues concerning the optimisation of contractual relationships and establishing incentives, the optimisation of infrastructure through the use of asset management techniques, achieving cost efficiency, and wider sustainability & mobility challenges.

Our client portfolio therefore mainly consists of: rail carriers, infrastructure managers, national and regional governments and regional public transport companies. We also work closely with the other teams within Rebel, where our knowledge of asset management, experience with infrastructure projects and operational expertise create extra value for financial advice or contracting issues.

Rebel as a whole applies specific knowledge and expertise in various sectors for both governments and businesses: from complex infrastructure projects to the restructuring of deprived neighbourhoods and from optimisations in asset management to the financing of hospitals. We have extensive experience on both the public and private side. We believe that the public and private sectors need each other and have much to learn from each other.
