About the Position / Responsibilities

Rebel offers a dynamic and self-directed work environment that is fast-paced, congenial, and supportive. We seek an experienced senior consultant to join our team in California with the following core responsibilities:

  • Translate findings and results into concise reports and presentations
  • Business development and writing proposals
  • Project managing different work tasks, coordinating team members and tracking
    and monitoring budgets
  •  Regular client engagement and concisely presenting findings to clients
  • Review own and others work for accuracy and make necessary suggestions and
  • Develop strategies and unique market insights that support in meeting client
  •  Support and mentor colleagues in developing their skillsets and expertise

About You / Qualifications

We are seeking a Principal Consultant who has the following skills and qualifications:

  • A background working with or within public, private, and nonprofit sectors
  • Five to ten years of experience in transportation planning; operations, urban/city/regional planning, public policy, urban design, geography, or economics
  • Skills and enthusiasm for business development
  • Excellent written, verbal, and other communication skills, including facilitating workshops and leading strategy sessions with executives
  • The ability to manage complex projects on time and on budget
  • The ability to organize, supervise, analyze, and communicate a wide range of transportation data and complete (directly or manage the completion of) data analysis, feasibility studies, or other transportation reports
  •  Interest in an international portfolio and the ability to collaborate with a global team
  •  Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  •  Above all, we are looking for someone who has a passion for sustainable transportation systems and is interested in making communities better for our clients and their constituents.

Location & Benefits

Applicants should be able to be located within California and to have regular access to an internet connection to properly engage in our remote working environment. Occasional team meetups will be arranged to make sure that an in-person connection between team members is maintained.
We have a variety of projects within California and the United States, as well as projects around the world. While much of our work can be accomplished digitally, some travel for work will be required.
