About the Position / Responsibilities

Rebel offers a dynamic and self-directed work environment that is fast-paced, congenial, and supportive. Rebel Consultants are detail-oriented project managers who can juggle multiple projects, manage diverse teams, and meet tight timelines. They bring strong analytical, report writing, and presentation skills with the ability to justify opinions using well-constructed, evidenced arguments and confidently explain complex analyses in clear and compelling ways. Rebel Consultants are enterprising and creative self-starters who offer new ideas or develop content strategy across a range of mobility topics.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform data analysis and generate insights for reports and presentations
  • Writing executive-level summaries, policy memos, and reports
  • Support in scoping out potential business development opportunities and writing
    proposals
  • Perform different project management duties such as coordinating work tasks,
    tracking progress and facilitating communication between team members
  • Plan for regular client engagement and coordination

About You / Qualifications

We are seeking Consultants who have the following skills and qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field or 3 years of experience in transportation planning; operations, urban/city/regional planning, public policy, urban design, geography, or economics
  • Experience contributing data analysis, visualizations, and graphics for professional reports, policy memos, and presentations
  • Ability to write in a well-structured and logical way to effectively tell a compelling narrative that can be used to inform decision-making
  • Ability to develop effective and collaborative working relationships with project teams, clients, and colleagues and demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse communities by incorporating equity, diversity, and inclusion into their work
  • Interest in an international portfolio and the ability to collaborate with a global team
  • Ability to deliver effective, high-quality proposals, engage in business development and develop market presence
  • Knowledge and enthusiasm for sustainable mobility policy, business models, or technologies

Location & Benefits

Applicants should be able to be located within California and to have regular access to an internet connection to properly engage in our remote working environment. Occasional team meetups will be arranged to make sure that an in-person connection between team members is maintained.
We have a variety of projects within California and the United States, as well as projects around the world. While much of our work can be accomplished digitally, some travel for work will be required.
