For the Rebel East Africa office in Nairobi, Kenya, we are looking for a consultant who is passionate about economics, finance and development in Africa.
Rebel is an independent, employee-owned advisory group operating internationally from its home base in Rotterdam (The Netherlands) and offices globally, including Antwerp (Belgium), Jakarta (Indonesia), Johannesburg (South Africa), Manila (Philippines), Nairobi (Kenya) and Washington D.C. (USA).
We started Rebel in 2002 because we wanted to make a positive contribution to the world.. Today, about 200 Rebels are working from offices around the world on projects in socially relevant sectors, including: urban development, infrastructure, mobility and transport, culture, healthcare and energy. We provide financial and strategic advice to the public and private sector including public policy design, economic analysis, financial strategy development, fund design, and transaction advice. At the Rebel East Africa office we are particularly passionate about realizing the potential of Africa’s dynamic people and economies.

This position is for individuals with preferably a number of years of relevant experience, although we will also consider promising starters with some research and/or consulting experience. You will be assigned according to your level of experience and your skill set. As part of a team you will undertake components of strategic consulting assignments for a variety of public and private sector clients. You will work under the guidance of a more senior consultant but we expect you to actively participate in shaping the future of the Nairobi office. Your role will include:
