Two drinking water treatment plants in Vietnam
The purpose of the project was to develop a business case (financial model) and provide the inputs for a feasibility study for two drinking water treatment plants in the Mekong Delta region. These projects are to be developed under a design-build-operate approach, using both local funding and international development aid funds. The basis was laid for an application for international funding through the Netherlands Development Aid fund ORET.
Result of this effort has been (i) a solid basic financial model; and (ii) an outline feasibility study containing all critical data needed for the ORET funding application. On the basis of this work a successful ORET application was submitted to the relevant authorities in the Netherlands.
